TLI Announces Casandra Oldham as Director of Autism Programs

We are delighted to announce Casandra Oldham as the new Director of Autism Programs. With a remarkable 30-year career in the fitness and health industries as a trained kinesiologist and over 15 years of dedicated autism advocacy, Casandra is well-equipped to lead TLI’s efforts in supporting families affected by autism spectrum disorder (ASD).

Casandra's journey into autism advocacy began when her two youngest sons were diagnosed with regressive autism. This personal experience has given her profound insights into the challenges faced by special needs families and has driven her commitment to improving their quality of life. Her extensive knowledge spans areas such as law, education, nutrition and medical research, and she has been instrumental in advocating for applied behavior analysis (ABA) insurance coverage, founding support groups and serving as a parent coach.

Throughout her career, Casandra has been a staunch advocate for applied behavior analysis (ABA) insurance coverage and has founded support groups to assist families navigating the autism landscape. Her role in advocacy and parent support at Autism F.I.R.S.T., coupled with her mentorship through The Autism Community in Action (TACA), highlights her dedication to empowering families and enhancing their overall quality of life.

As TLI’s Director of Autism Programs, Casandra will play a pivotal role in advancing TLI’s mission to provide comprehensive support and resources for families with ASD children and adults.

Advancing Autism Support: The Autism Knowledge Gateway

In addition to welcoming Casandra, TLI is excited to highlight our ongoing commitment to advancing autism support through our Autism Knowledge Gateway. This dynamic platform is designed to address critical gaps in autism research and support.

The Autism Knowledge Gateway will feature a robust, searchable repository of over 45,000 peer-reviewed research articles, providing clinicians, parents and educators with easy access to the latest scientific findings. It will also offer detailed information on programs and resources dedicated to ASD families/ The Gateway will include collaborative chat rooms for clinicians and open forums for broader discussions, fostering enhanced communication and knowledge-sharing.

With Casandra Oldham’s leadership, TLI is well-positioned to make significant strides in autism care and support. We look forward to the positive impact of her work and the continued evolution of the Autism Knowledge Gateway, which will play a crucial role in improving the lives of those affected by autism. Stay tuned for more updates as we continue to drive meaningful change in the autism community.
