Since the introduction of electronic health records and electronic medical records, the use of patient portals has steadily gained traction in health care and have become increasingly popular for collecting outcomes data directly from patients and providing data analytics directly back to patients and healthcare providers.
Our purpose is to build a patient portal to collect data from people living with macular degeneration which can be used to inform clinical practice, support research, increase patients’ functional outcomes, and empower patient engagement in the management of their care plan.
The patient portal will collect data and produce data analytics to patient and healthcare providers and provide references to resources and support.
